WHAT AM I GOING TO LEARN?

After you have completed the Evaluating Information module you will:

  • Be able to sift through the junk to get the info you need
  • Utilize the results of your search more effectively

SO WHEN I FIND THE WEBPAGE (JOURNAL ARTICLE, BOOK, etc.), THAT’S IT, RIGHT?

Absolutely not! Just because you’ve found it doesn’t mean that it will work for you or your paper/lab report. There are many factors that you have to take into account. For instance, your prof may have told you to obtain a peer-reviewed article. Or you may find a really cool webpage, but you aren’t sure whether it’s genuine or not.
